Hi everyone! I haven’t always been a huge reader, but for as long as I can remember I’ve loved telling stories. At first, it was writing homemade Valentine’s Day cards for my middle school girlfriends. Then it was dabbling in songwriting and dreaming about becoming a country music star one day. In college, it was rap battles before heading out for a Saturday night.

When my son was born six weeks premature, we spent two weeks in the special care nursery. By the end of the first week, I started going a little stir crazy and decided it was time to put my storytelling skills to the next test. It was fall, and I started writing A Minnesota Football Tale to introduce him to the team I love. As the book slowly took shape, I’d read him pages. When he responded with excitement and “more, Daddy, more,” I felt like I might be onto something.

Becoming a parent is life-changing—and truly the best thing ever. At any moment, you need to be ready for a living room dance party, a pony ride on command, a beauty pageant makeover, or best of all, a snuggled-up book on the couch. At Sota Storybooks, we create playful books for little ones and the people who love reading to them. Each story is designed to spark imagination, invite connection, and become a family tradition for years to come.
